Beauty Essentials I Absolutely Cannot Live Without

We all have a beauty routine. We all have favorite products that we simply cannot live without. I'm always open to discovering new makeup products, most of the time I do that through Ipsy. If you're not familiar, Ipsy is a monthly subscription service created by Youtuber Icon Michelle Phan. They send you 5 new beauty products every month, and honestly I don't know how I ever survived without it. I could go on and on about Ipsy (truly. I can. Ask my boyfriend lol). Sometimes I discover new beauty products through Instagram or beauty bloggers on youtube, but honestly once I find something that I like, I'm probably going to keep using that product until the day I die. What can I say, I'm a creature of habit.

If you're curious, here's a look into my daily beauty products:

First stop, Moisturizer.

Okay, honestly moisturizer is the most important beauty product. There, I said it! I really, truly, cannot live without it! Finding a good moisturizer is hard, and drastically depends on your skin type! I have extremely fair and sensitive skin, so finding the right moisturizer for me has been a JOURNEY! The moisturizer that I use is N7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream (normal/oily) with SPF 15 from Target! I love it because it's affordable, protects my fair skin from the sun, and moisturizes my skin without leaving it oily (which means less breakouts. Score!)

Next Up, Primer.

I'm sure there are better/fancier primers out there, but I have not had any luck finding one that doesn't make my face feel greasy or like my makeup is going to completely slide off by the time I get dressed. I currently use Elf Poreless Face Primer from target again (not every beauty product I use is from target, I swear!) I love elf products because they are affordable and they are completely vegan and cruelty free! Ah-mazing!

Concealer, My Holy Grail.

If you didn't already know, I am pale AF. With extremely pale skin comes red spots and dark circles galore! Concealer has become a staple of my makeup routine. There are lots of good ones out there, but my current favorite is It Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer in the color "light". I like this one because it never looks cakey and lasts all day. It never makes me looked washed out, and covers everything I need it to. Added Bonus, I discovered this one through Ipsy a couple months ago! Woo!

Eyebrow Obsessed.

You will never catch me out and about without my eyebrows done. Reason for that, I have extremely blond eyebrows. Like, so blond that I need to tint them every two weeks or else they completely disappear. I have so much respect for people with extremely light eyebrows who are able to rock that look, but I am not one of those people. I am very self conscious about my extremely blond eyebrows, but I don't let it ruin me. I adapt. I've gone through quite an eyebrow evolution, and oh trust me, there's still room to learn. For me, personally, I prefer a natural looking brow so I tint my brows regularly (I'll write a blog post about that process later on). For day-to-day brow upkeep though, I use two products, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in the color "caramel" and Glossier's Boy Brow in the color "blond". Both have been life changers for me, and I will wear them until the end of time.

Can't forget, Eyeshadow.

I have so so so many different eyeshadows, and I use different ones for different occasions. But the one I use almost daily for a natural looking eye is Kat Von D's Shade + Light Eye Contour Quad. It's high quality, long lasting, with a natural blended look. Definitely my current go-to.

It's all in the Foundation.

In my younger days, I used to pile on foundation all over my face. Thank goodness those days are long gone. Foundation is amazing, and when you have a good one, a little goes a long long way. I've experimented with tons of different foundations and I'm sure I'll experiment some more before I settle on my forever favorite. Right now, though, I use Make Up For Ever's Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in the color "ivory". This is actually another product I discovered through Ipsy. The coverage lasts all day, and the color is perfect for my skin tone.

An absolute must, Eyeliner.

I absolutely hate eyeliner that smudges! It has been a long battle trying to find an eyeliner that is long lasting and wont smudge. I just recently started using gel eyeliners and, let me tell you, it was life changing. I don't know why it took me so long to use gel eyeliners, probably my long history of only buying drugstore makeup (yeah...). The gel eyeliner I currently am using is Bobbi Brown's Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in the color "jet black". I like this eyeliner because it lasts FOREVER. I've had mine almost a year, I use it every single day and I'm not even halfway done with it. Plus it doesn't smudge, lasts all day, and is black as night!

Can't do without Mascara.

Just like my blond eyebrows, my eyelashes are practically translucent. I have yet to get my eyelashes tinted (and I would never try to do it at home myself), so mascara is a daily necessity for me. I've tried out expensive brands, but I always come running back to my drugstore mascara. I use L'Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in the color "black brown". I'm always open to trying out new mascaras, but I've had very little luck with other brands. I like my mascara to be waterproof, lengthening without the dreaded clumps, and most importantly must-not-smudge!

Don't Forget, Blush.

I didn't use blush for the longest time, I never felt like blush was something I needed. Then one day I tried it out, I got so many compliments that day, and since then I've made it a staple of my daily makeup routine. The blush I use was actually another Ipsy find (ha, surprising right?). It's Tarte's Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush. The color I have is called "quirky" but I can't find it online so I'm not sure if they still make this one. It's long lasting, and looks completely natural.

The Highlight of My Life, Highlighter.

Okay, I'm going to tell you what you may already know, Highlighters are Gods gift to the makeup world. There, I said it. I will rock shimmering highlighters till I'm on my deathbed, and even then I will make sure that I am rocking it hard. Yes, I will be THAT old lady, just watch. Glitter and sparkling things will forever be a necessity to me and nothing will change that. My two current favorites are Estate Cosmetics Baked Highlighter in color “afterglow” and Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in color "Champagne pop". The first is another brand I discovered through Ipsy and it's quite a bit cheaper than the second. I love both, and I switch between the two.

Lastly, Lipstick.

I don't wear lipstick everyday, it's something I only use when I really want to look put together. I honestly just forget to put it on most of the time, but I really do like lipstick. I have a couple go-to's, but my new favorite is Yves Saint Laurent's Rouge Pur Couture Lip Color (oh, you fancy huh?). It's pretty pricey, but I think it's well worth the price. The quality is definitely there.

Well, there you have it! My makeup essentials! What about you? Do you use any of the same products? Is there anything you absolutely swear by? Have you tried out Ipsy? Love it or Hate it? Let me know in the comments below, I wanna know what you think!
